How long do walks last?

Our lunchtime walks last  40-45 minutes.  

Our other advertised walks last 90 minutes.

If you want to arrange a bespoke walk, then tours can be designed to meet your specific requirements.

 

How many people will be on the walk?

Walks are usually limited to 20 people to allow  good access for all.  

If you think you may be a larger group please give us a call and we can arrange for two guides.

 

I don't want to get there and find there aren't any places!

If you want to guarantee a place on a walk, then please use the booking form, or contact us by phone or email to reserve a place. 

 

What happens if I am late, can I join in?

The walks will leave promptly in order to be fair to people who have places to get to at the end of the walk.  You may be able to see the goup if you are a few minutes late and join in. The full price will be payable for late arrivals.

 

Can I book?

Yes. Either complete the booking form or contact us by phone or email to reserve a place.

 

I have a disability. Will the walks be suitable for me?

We welcome people with disabilities. If you are concerned, or have particular requirements, please call or email to discuss further. 

 
 

Why should I go with you?

 
We are all  qualified guides, who have extensive knowledge of the City. But more that this, we are keen to ensure that you will have a good time. We will tell you dates, but in moderation!  Our walks are full of interesting information, gossip and facts. Your enjoyment is very important to us.
 

Where do the walks start from?

The walks have a variety of starting places, please see walks details page for exact location, if you are in doubt please call or email to confirm.

 

Where do the walks end?

Click on the listing page for each walk and the starting and finshing place are marked on the map.  Wherever you end, you will not be far form a refreshment stop and transport links. Your guide can direct you.

 

Who is responsible for our safety?

You are responsible for your own safety on the walks. Please take care crossing roads.

 

What training have the guides had?

We have all qualified as City of London Guides. This involved a year-long training course held at Corporation of London. These have been and validated by the Institute of Tourist Guides. We all sat a series of practical and written exams to test our knowledge and guiding skills. Some of us are also associates of the Institute of Tourist Guiding.

 

What happens if it is raining?

Walks will take place in most weather conditions including rain. The exception will be in extreme weather conditions - such as heavy snow, or extreme cold; if in doubt please phone to check.
